Landscape photography Wales Photography Workshop Event Details: Gower
Description: Just a short distance away from Swansea, the Gower Peninsula is a remarkable sight for landscape photography in Wales.
Recognised as the UK's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty since 1956, this gem of a location showcases an immense range of diversity - from wide open, wild moorlands to incredible limestone cliffs and captivating, golden sandy beaches. This 19-mile long area begins at Mumbles and expands westwards. It is renowned for its awe-inspiring coast and spectacular beaches - from the sweeping Rhossili Bay to the snug Pwll Du.
Gower is a truly unique environment that boasts heathlands, limestone grasslands, brackish and freshwater marshes, dunes and oak woodlands. It is characterised by a distinct combination of features, including lofty limestone cliffs, sandy beaches, and jagged rocky shores that together form its southern coastline. In the north, the coast is a series of tranquil salt marshes and dune systems. This is a perfect location for landscape photography Wales
