Alan Ranger's Ethical Policy: Responsible Education

I am Alan Ranger, a professional photographer and qualified photography tutor based in the Midlands, UK. With a passion for teaching photography, I have dedicated my business to empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to capture stunning images.

As a tutor, an ethical policy, I work with clients of all abilities and interests, tailoring my teaching approach to suit their individual needs. Whether it's through one-on-one sessions or small group classes and courses in the Midlands, I am committed to providing a personalised and enriching learning experience.

My classes cover a wide range of photography topics, from the fundamentals to more specialized genres such as Portraits, Macro, Woodlands, and B&W. By equipping my students with a solid foundation and exploring various genres, I strive to unlock their creative potential and help them develop their unique photographic style. In addition to teaching, I also lead location-based photography workshops across the UK.

These workshops offer photographers of all levels the opportunity to refine their camera craft and explore their creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment. Through hands-on instruction and guidance, I aim to enhance their technical skills and foster their artistic vision.

With a deep understanding of both the technical and artistic aspects of photography, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others develop their passion for this art form.

Whether you are a beginner looking to grasp the basics or an experienced photographer seeking to refine your skills, I am dedicated to supporting you on your photographic journey.

If you are ready to take your photography skills to new heights, I invite you to join me on this exciting and fulfilling journey. Together, we can unlock your full potential and capture moments that will last a lifetime.

My Ethical Policy for my clients

My Ethical policy - To clients and the environment

For My Clients

Workshops are meticulously planned to ensure that the places we visit are suitable and optimised for client enjoyment and learning.

Workshops are limited to six or fewer small groups to ensure maximum client-tutor time on a 1-2-1 basis as needed.

Workshops include detailed itineraries with backup options for local disruption or weather impacts.

Workshops are assessed for health and safety risks, and appropriate advice and decisions are taken to ensure client safety first.

All clients are offered a chance to provide independent feedback through customer reviews invited post-event. For each review received, another tree is planted. That’s two trees or every booking with feedback.

All clients are provided with support, encouragement and fairness regardless of their ability, experience or other factors.

All events are run in a professional manner encouraging mutual respect and support.
