Photography Courses for Beginners and Intermediates
After several years of running photography courses in many variants I decided it was time to try and tidy up the website a bit. It’s grown organically over the last six years and therefore has naturally become more complexed as I have added new courses and classes to the site and schedules. I of course think it’s totally logical and easy to follow because I designed the matrix of options and ways of finding the details. However, I am aware that not everyone finds my logic, logical!
I am busy preparing content for online, home study courses, starting with the tried and tested five module beginners photography course. This has led me to having to rethink web design, layout and the complexities of user navigation and also simple matters of page loading speed when there are over 400 events l(dates) isted on my site at any given point in time. I hear some of you shouting, about time too and yes I agree, unless you are familiar with the site it can feel overwhelming for first time visitors.
Therefore, I have broken down the individual courses into separate pages/sections to help the navigation and hopefully avoid information and options overload. The courses and classes are still classified as beginner and intermediate as that element helps people identify what they are looking for. However, grouping the same courses or classes on individual pages should, i think, help those are constantly ask me “when is the next course on… taking place?”
The change is new and was labour intensive, so there may be some teething issues that I will undoubtedly stumble across over time. Please let me know if you spot any inconsistencies with dates listed and payment options.

WHICH PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES ARE BEST FOR ME?

Beginners - The Perfect Start. If you are new to photography and a DSLR, then the Get off Auto class and five-week Beginners Photography Course is the perfect introduction and start. Most clients follow on from this to do the Beginners Lightroom course to learn how to edit images with a professional look.
Intermediates - The Next Step. If you already know the basics of camera settings, composition and editing, then there is a great range of courses and classes to improve and refine your skills. You could take the intermediates photography course or intermediates Lightroom course to improve your knowledge and ability on specific genres (portraits, B&W, landscapes, product, wildlife, sports…) or take that next step in photo editing to learn how to add the polish and emotion/balance to your existing images.
Or consider going for a photographic qualification with the RPS or doing a photo project and exhibiting your images on the high street.
Flexible Options - Tailored To You. All lessons can be taken as a series of weekly evening classes during the week or booked as private 1-2-1 sessions to suit you. We also offer flexible payment plans (interest-free) to help you spread the cost of your photography tuition over twelve months, and you get a discount for booking multiple events.
