New landscape photography workshop - Wales - Dee Valley
landscape photography workshop
Dee Valley - Lakes, Mountains, Rivers, Quarries, Woodlands, Mines and Waterfalls - 2 Days
I am delighted to announce a new location for my schedule of outdoor photography workshops. Dee Valley. We will be based just south of Llangollen, at a beautiful inn - The West Arms (The story of the West Arms itself dates back to 1570, when it was a farmhouse belonging to local gentry).
Over the two-day photographic workshop, we will visit three to four stunning locations a day (including sunrise and sunset) to create great images from a variety of scenes. Waterfalls, rivers, lakes, mountain ranges, woodlands and options to do aqueducts and mines too. The exact itinerary will be based on the wishes, collaboratively beforehand, of those booked on the photo workshop.

Suitable For
As one to one tuition is provided throughout all landscape photography workshops there are no prerequisites for experience or skill levels. All workshop tours are designed to be inclusive whatever your level and gear and we are always happy to advise, support and loan you equipment to try out so that you get the best opportunity to photograph subjects in ways you haven’t tried before.
Landscapes workshops are taught in small groups, a maximum of six participants, to ensure that everyone has the time needed from a professional landscape photographer to help them improve their photographic skills. Alan will always go the extra mile for someone who is open to exploring new ways, for them, to maximise the great photographic opportunities.

I would be delighted for you to join me on this inaugural exploration of this area that includes some well-known and visited features, Lake Vyrnwy and Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall but will also include some new locations too.

The West Arms - Our Accomodation and base for the weekend
Our North Wales accommodation is a blend of character rooms in the original 16th century part of the Inn and valley view rooms to the rear. What they have in common is a blend of traditional comfort and warmth with all the facilities you’d expect. You can lie back on a traditional brass or even four-poster bed, admire the original oak beams, savour the heritage of a 16th-century building and when you wake up from a great night’s sleep you can look forward to a hearty and delicious Welsh breakfast.
